The Prisoner's Dilemma Competition
To pay tribute to the 20th anniversary of the Iterated Prisoners Dilemma competitions organised by Robert Axelrod, we are planning a series of updated competitions to celebrate this milestone. Part of this competition will be an updated book, which we hope will build on the original 1984 book by Robert Axelrod. The book will be published by World Scientific (http://www.wspc.com/) as part of their Advances in Natural Computation Series.
This call is to request chapters that will be subject to peer review by an editorial panel.
The aim is to give you the opportunity to report on the research that led to your entry to the IPD competition.
To submit a chapter you must have submitted an entry to the IPD competition and your chapter should report on the strategy that you developed for the competition. The chapter should report some original research that you carried out in the development of your strategy.
Note that the call for paper deadline is AFTER the competition has taken place, so you will have the opportunity to include the results of your entry in the actual competition as well as reporting on the testing you undertook prior to the competition being run.
The formatting instructions can be found onthe World Scientific web site. Please see the the book style file web page (9.00" x 6.00") (see http://www.wspc.com/style/books_style.shtml)
There is no page limit, but the reviewers will be asked to comment on the length of the manuscript, as we have to adhere to an overall page limit for the book.
15th Jul 2005: An EMAIL should be sent to Graham Kendall (gxk@cs.nott.ac.uk) registering your interest in submitting a chapter. This does not commit you in any way, but gives us an idea as to how many chapters we can expect to receive.
30th Sep 2005: An electronic version of your manuscript (in PDF or Word format) should be EMAIL'ed to Graham Kendall (gxk@cs.nott.ac.uk)
